Energy Efficiency Policy

The Company is responsible for energy management and will implement energy efficiency in all its assets, ashore offices, ships, systems and plants in order to:

• avoid unnecessary costs
• improve cost-effectiveness, productivity and working conditions
• purchase fuel at reasonable prices.
• use fuels as efficiently as possible.
• reduce the amount of pollution, particularly CO2 emissions caused by the company’s energy consumption.
• to the extent possible, reduce dependence on fossil fuels by using renewable energy and energy recovered from the plants and systems.
• focus on sustainable development without limiting trade and growth
• stimulate technical research and development in the maritime sector
• implement new technologies
• quantify energy consumption per unit managed by establishing a basic parameter for measuring future improvements
• quantify emissions before and after energy management
